Heinrich Stöpler graduated from Utrecht University in the Netherlands as an instrument maker in 1902. Later that same year, he started his own company, making hand tools, artificial limbs, corsets and bandages. He also imported medical instruments and equipment. Heinrich Stöpler’s company thrived, becoming very well known and respected. The Stöpler name has been a standard of excellence in the market for medical products since the early 20th century. It is a brand associated with rigorous standards, quality and reliability. Stöpler remained family-owned until the end of the 1960s.
